Life Jacket

November 12, 2025

When a person is drowning it does no good for you to stand on the seashore and yell, “Let me know if there’s something I can do to help you!” No. Instead, you must throw a life jacket, jump in to save them or call for help.

I’ve been drowning. For the entire year of 2025, my head has been under water. And I can’t swim. Several friends have yelled from the sea shore, “Let me know what I can do to help you” as I’m frantically bobbing up and down in the ocean, trying to breathe.

It does no good. I cannot hear them over the ocean crashing against my ears, pushing me further down. I need a life jacket. I need someone to save me. I need to be pulled from the water.
