All The Time in The World

What would you do if you had all the time in the world to do it? If you were totally in control of your day from sun up to sun down what plans would you make? What would you accomplish? As I read those sentences out loud my oldest and youngest children yelled in unison “absolutely nothing”. My oldest followed it up with “sleep”.

I whole heartedly agree with both of them. But that amount of nothingness cannot last me very long. If I do too much of nothing for too long, I get depressed…start feeling worthless.

This is the conundrum that I am currently faced with. I have the next two months of my life to do as I please. No schedule, no alarm clock, no nothing. So, I’m in the midst of planning what my days will be like…just so I can ward off any anxiety.

As of now, my loosely made plans involve daily morning trips to the gym to exercise. I quite enjoy lifting weights now. It makes me feel powerful. Next, I will come home and make breakfast. Eggs, toast and sausage. Then, if I’m honest, I’d most likely lay on my couch and watch a few episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Jean-Luc Picard is my all time favorite.

I imagine I will include some type of sewing in my day because my sewing studio gives me life. I also want to do a bit of daily writing. Going to the local library and knocking out a few pages is ideal. I can rarely write at home. I have too many distractions.

As mentioned, this is my loosely made plan for my summer of freedom. Let’s see how this goes!
